About Alice Brisland

Alice Brisland is an accomplished illustrator and artist, known for her distinctive sketchbooks and expressive use of mixed media. Her work is characterised by vibrant colour, playful pattern, and the thoughtful combination of pens and pencils, creating pieces full of warmth and personality.

After studying Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts in 2004, Alice moved to London where she built her career as a print designer for leading high street retailers. This experience shaped her eye for pattern, colour and composition.

In 2020, while at home with her young children during the pandemic, Alice sought a creative outlet during nap times and moments between online learning. With a small collection of pens and a renewed sense of inspiration, Alice Brisland Design was born.

Working from her small A6 and A5 sketchbooks, she began capturing the beauty of everyday life — walks to the park, flowers in the garden. As she shared her work online, interest quickly grew, leading to sales of original artworks and private commissions.

Since then, her business has naturally evolved to include a collection of Giclée prints and, most recently, greeting cards — each piece reflecting the joy, colour, and charm that first inspired her creative journey.
